MY FIRST OVERSEAS TRIP, KUALA LUMPUR - SINGAPORE

One of my wishlist got checked. Had overseas trip yeeeeyyyy. It was unplanned, me and Lusy accidently found Tiger airways promo, got free ticket for return flight. We agreed to take that chance and booked for 5 days traveling to Spore and KL.

In May, 7 2014. All preparation done. We were heading to Jakarta and stayed at Amel's place and catching up early taxi to Airport in the next morning. We had early flight at that day.
We are ready

Our flight sched was Jakarta - Spore - KL - Spore - Jakarta. We arrived at Changi airport first and waiting for connection flight to KL at the noon. We had our lunch at Mcdonals. We read about had cheap meal at changi Airport before, it was told about canteen staff at hidden place, honestly we found it. But we didnt brave enough to enter it. I think it was not true for us enter it. So we just give up and had a lunch in Mcd. My first impression ordered food in other country was... they were not friendly. Hmpppppfffttt
After lunch we find left baggage to put our baggage. We planned to leave our baggage and just bring small bag to KL. Following the instruction, we found it in the left of basement. Changi airport for us was so big, with confusing step, we did sightseeing and visit some orchid garden in Terminal 2.

Around 3 pm, we were heading to KL and arrived at KLIA2, the new airport of Malaysia. Some of the building part still underconstruction. Gladly, they already had access to KL Sentral by Bus (RM 10). What I heard now, they already has full access with some transportation to reach KL Sentral from KLIA2.

In Kuala Lumpur, we stayed at Budget Inn in Bukit Bintang. From KL Sentral, Bukit Bintang can reach by Monorail. More information about transportation in Kuala Lumpur click here

For first day in Kuala Lumpur, we enjoyed Jalan Alor and KLCC in night view. We had dinner in KFC included Nasi lemak. Nasi lemak is the tradisional rice of Malaysia, but the taste doesnt suitable with me *sobs sobs*
Bukit Bintang is located in central tourism in Kuala lumpur, nearby with some attraction and passed by three route lines Go KL bus. Bukit Bintang-Pasar Seni, Bukit Bintang-KLCC, and Bukit Bintang-Medan Mara. Sadly we didnt know about it before, so we just walking up by feet to KLCC. It needs 30 minutes walking and it was already midnight. OMG.

With tired feet, we end our first day in Kuala Lumpur.
In the next morning, we planned visit Batu Caves. From hotel we take monorail to KL Sentral and take LRT to Batu caves, it took 1 hour from KL Sentral.
We arrived early and seems like just a few people who came. Batu Caves is site of a hindu temple and shrine. It has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines. Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city centre. Monkeys frolic around the caves, and it is a popular spot for rock climbing enthusiasts. Paintings and scenes of Hindu Gods can also be seen in the Ramayana Cave.

This temple reminds me to another Hindu temples in my country like Candi Arjuna, Prambanan and Hindu's culture in Bali. Made me miss home suddenly.

At mid day, we were comeback to Kuala Lumpur and planned visit Kuala Lumpur old railways. We stop in Kuala Lumpur station (one station before KL Sentral from Batu caves). We didnt realize, that day was Juma'at, a holy day for moeslim in one week. And we stopped at Nasional Mosque to worship and got suprise there are weekly market. We are lucky there are so many food, drinks and stuffs. We decided to had lunch before worship,it because the market was only open until 2 pm.

We didnt realize having fun tryin food and find hand gift until some tent closed. Tired and full tummy, we take a rest and worship inside the mosque. The wind blowing made our body doesnt want move. Against the sleepiness, we walk to explore this area.
The national mosque of Kuala Lumpur is situated just a kilometer away from the popular Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur. The Lake Gardens itself is made up of five different gardens and parks whiches the Bird Park, the Deer Park, the Hibiscus Garden, the Orchid Garden and the Butterfly Garden. But it was not free, of course.

 Scenery around the mosque

Beside the mosque there are gravefield that speciality for the past hero. It called "Makam Pahlawan". If you want to enter that place, you should wearing proper clothes. For people who wore short or not wear hijabs, the management prepared some clothes that allowed you enter that place.

The sun slowly down, we were so exhausted and back to hotel to take a shower and rest. Around 7 pm we decided to haunt handgift in Central Market and Pecinan, Chinatown.
We wont make a mistake again, since we know the Go KL to Pasar Seni passed this road, we waited for a while. In weekend like that, all the bus full of passager. We keep standing up to Pasar Seni. It took about 30 minutes with traffic jam from bukit bintang. Walk for a while and you already in Central Market.
